Mod Stuff - Prison Challenge

isaytoodlepip  recently asked for fics with Sam undercover in a prison. You could take this bunny on or you could try a more metaphorical approach to the challenge, after all, ‘stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage’. Is Sam trapped in the prison of his own imagination? What if Gene had been sent down for murder?

Deadline for this challenge is the 7th of June.

Poetry post challenge by itsahydething

Title: The Haven
Author: itsahydething
Rating: Green Cortina (maybe blue due to language, not sure)
Word count: 648
Notes: Based on The Ravin, from Sam's POV, I called it the Haven just because thats what 1973 seems to be for Sam, not much to do with the poem though, sorry. :)

Title: Gene's shopping list
Rating: White Cortina
Word count: 5 lines
Notes: Fluff. Based on the Pam Ayres poem

A packet of wafers all pink,
A bottle of whisky to drink,
A curly wurly or two,
One for me, one for you,
That’s all that I wanted I think.

Mod Stuff - Poetry Prompt Challenge

This fortnight we're going to do something a little different. Below the cut are four extracts from various different poems and you need to use one or more of them to inspire your work. You don't have to include these lines and follow the same theme; though you might choose to do either of these things. You may want to only use the title, or key words found in the poem. You may want to use other lines from these poems. It doesn't matter how you approach it, so long as you have fun.

You have two weeks. Entries are due May 24.
