Me? I don't get Westerns. You won't find me watching one any day soon. Never understood why they're so popular. That sort of constricting genre tends to annoy me a bit. But my dad, well, he loves Westerns. He likes the messages they send. He connects with the characters who can appear one dimensional and occasionally reveal themselves to be much more than that. The camerawork and the scenery and, the ethos? I'm not sure.
You can incorporate the "Western" in any way you so wish. It can be literal or metaphorical, real/unreal.
Saddle up your horses, get your spurs on. This is a 2 week challenge. Stories will be due by July 25th.

Suggestions for future challenges are also more than welcome. Happy writing!
